The Bayanihan Club of Union has been in existence since 1995. It aims to foster and uphold the Filipino values, customs and traditions. It is mainly comprised of Filipino Americans residing in the township. Right Now, there are hundreds of families that call Union their home. We are participating and contributing to the well-being of the township through our children excelling in the schools, parents instilling good family values, individuals practicing good citizenship and the whole Filipino American commnuity engaging in community events.

This Saturday, December 4, 199, Marks a big day for the Filipino-Americans in the Township of Union. On this day, at 9:30 in the morning, a plaque remembering the survivors and the people who gave up their lives to defend democracy in the attack against Pearl Harbor by the Japanese on December 7, 1941 will be unveiled at the Pearl Harbor Square (corner of Stuyvesant Avenue and Elmwood Street).

In commemorating the Pear Harbor Square, the Bayanihan Club of Union (Filipino American community) feels it is a chance we can show our gratitude and appreciation for the persons who took the first blow and fought back to defend this great land. With the Philippines and the United States fighting together against a common enemy, it is our desire to give great honor to these persons for defending our freedom and democracy.
